Jeff Potter commissioned this drawing of Cousin Eerie, the “host” of the comic horror anthology, EERIE. Although I’ve never read any of the old horror comics like EERIE, CREEPY, TALES FROM THE CRYPT, etc. I’ve definitely got a soft spot in my heart for those types of publications.
Yes, Cousin Eerie is reading “The Secret”. Because I thought it was funny.

It’s like you channeled the restless specters of the masters of German woodcuts, Aubrey Beardsley and Edward Gorey and coalesced them all into this delightfully macabre work. I’m glad you’ve obviously taken the premise of “The Secret” to heart and harnessed all your negative energies to present my little moldering and ghoul-infested corner of the world with this happily fiendish portrait.
