307. Weather Wizard

Part of the reason for the sketch-a-day blog is to help me focus on making more art – and if possible, figuring out a way to start making money off of that (as always, commissions are always available). Part of that is because I know that if I’m not working on something, I’m constantly watching movies, television progrims or just playing video games. Unfortunately, I don’t have the switch in my brain to tell me when too much is too much. I’m lazy by nature, and I can pretty much kill an entire day playing video games. I work a full-time job with a hefty commute, so when I get home, the first instinct is to just veg-out and unwind and shut my mind down (more than usual). Since re-starting the sketch-a-day, video games just stopped being part of my life. I still play occasionally, but it’s a danger zone. So, this past Friday when I purchased a deeply discounted copy of Batman: Arkham Origins from Amazon, I started making jokes about how the sketch-a-day would end. It won’t. Although, I received the game yesterday (Amazon and their shipping methods are fantastic) and pretty much blew three hours playing it without even realizing it. So, y’know, it’ll be a struggle. But I think I can make this work.

I’ll do my best to help restrain your video game playing to a healthy level. I have a subtle plan. The next time I’m at your place and you go to the restroom I’ll pour grape soda into your game system.
    Flash Rogues week rules!

  1. 1) What a terrible waste of perfectly good grape soda.
    2) If you do that, then we will never be able to watch another movie or tv program for fun or for Gutter Trash. What then? We’d have to talk to each other? That sounds horrible.

Literally-named comics characters are my favorite.

  2. They’re the best
