248. First Doctor

I have a lot of stuff I need to get done by the end of the month. My commission deadlines loom pretty hard this month, and I want to get them done, which means I need to step back from some other stuff. So, the Sketch-a-Day is gonna take a short break, kinda.

I’m gonna cheat on this thing.

I have a ton of art that I’ve never shared. Some of it is stuff I wanted to color and never got around to it, and then there’s some stuff like this.

About two years ago, I started drawing all the Doctors, with the plan of turning them into a print of some sort. I made it through Nine, and never got around to Ten, Eleven or Twelve. I probably will, eventually. At this point it’s fear keep me from doing it. It’s been too long, I draw slightly differently, there’s a lot of detail, etc. etc. But for now, as I play catch-up, enjoy some unreleased tracks from my archives.

First Doctor!

Oh that’s just perfect. I like Hartnell a lot, and you really captured his slightly unsettling First Doctor.
If you haven’t seen it, An Adventure in Time and Space is a cool little bio pic about Hartnell and the early period of Doctor Who.

  1. Loved the Hartnell movie.
