I remember reading Animal Man comics with B’wana Beast in them when I was younger and not knowing he was a Silver Age character (not yet being aware of Morrison’s penchant for reviving old characters).
When I finally saw an issue of Showcase with him in it at a comics convention if felt surreal… like this Grant Morrison character traveled back into the history of comics to appear in the Silver Age… which may be exactly what happened. We don’t know.
