Kurt didn’t have to request Moon Knight. I was gonna draw him before the year was up at some point, this just finally gave me a good excuse to do it. I’m a big Moon Knight fan, though I haven’t really warmed to his current series. I really liked the previous volume that was seemingly cancelled for no reason after the Shadowland storyline in Daredevil. Oh well. This is last chapter of Kurt Dinse Week, Part 7: The Final. Thanks to Kurt for the requests, I had a blast.

When Kurt asked for Orion of the New Gods, I almost wanted to point out that I’ve already got an Orion drawing on the blog. But, since I didn’t actually draw that one (it’s a Kirby sketch that I “inked” and colored), I decided not to. Plus, I could get to draw the Astro Harness. 30 attempts later, and we have this. I will say that while doing research, I discovered that if you type into Google Image Search “Orion New Gods”, you get that drawing that I just linked to. Unfortunately, it does not link to this site, but to some other blog. I’m not sure how I feel about it. While I did spend many hours working on it, it’s still a piece from derived from a sketch I found randomly on the internet, so I’ve got my fair share of dubiousness attached to this as well. Ah well. Internet. It’s Kurt Dinse Week Part 6: The Reckoning.

I know this character from The Starjammers, a group of Space Pirates who are supporting characters in the X-Men books, designed by the genius of Dave Cockrum, and as a whole vastly underrated and underused characters. That said, I don’t know a lot about this specific character, other than that he had a ponytail and metal arm long before it was cliche, so I guess that makes him one of the O.G. Badasses. Sweet. Kurt Five, Dinse Furious.

I’ve always kinda dug Beetle, the Spider-Man/Iron Man villain. I remember him from one of the old cartoons and thought he had a cool distinct look. He’s incredibly underused. I honestly can’t think of any comic I’ve seen him in other than The Ultimate books. So, when Kurt asked for this particular version, I was a little take aback. I had never seen this character look this way. It’s ridiculously amazing. Kurt Dinse Weeks, Part 3: A Game of Shallows.
