This is so cool! I’m unfamiliar with the original artist but I’d definitely love to check out more of his stuff. Does he have any published work or just this one sketch?

Quick question Eric, how do you go about inking sketches you find on the net? Do you print them out and ink over them with trace paper? or is there another method?

Nope, don’t own a tablet. Would like one. I just used a mouse.
As for the traditional inking manner, I would (and have) print out the sketch and lightbox it, inking on a different sheet of paper, though before I owned a lightbox, I would use tracing paper.

Sweet, very strong line work over the Kirby pencils. You capture Kirby’s essence IMO

Unfortunately he died a relative unknown about a decade ago. Very little actual work published.

Oh wait, you ‘inked’ in in Illustrator.
I’m a dummy who can’t read.
You must have a nice tablet.
