From the Vault!
I was doing my taxes the other day, and stumbled across these drawings in a folder. I drew this in 2009, presumably to submit to the Covered Blog – a much missed presence on the web. Or, to Rejected by Covered – another much missed presence on the web (Hey, JB). I drew this in pieces and was going to stitch it together (much like I did here), and color it (back in the day with mouse clicks and Photoshop). I think I even had colored the Angel portion at some point, but must have lost the file. So, in lieu of not publicly sharing stuff I’ve been working (Check out my Patreon if you wanna see that stuff!), I’ll post it here in a quickie slapdash format without color.
Jesus. 2009. I was one year into my first podcast. I was 3 years into my only real “career” job I ever had. I was single, nothing new there. Obama was in office. We had HOPE. Marvel movies had yet to ruin the entire cinema experience for the next 20 years. Dark Knight had just started to rear the absolutely execrable comic-movie fan-choads of the world into being. We didn’t know what we had! What a time.
