This patron asked for Godzilla, in honor of Godzilla Minus One, which I hear is pretty good. I based this drawing on the GM1 look, but unsure of how successfully I did. Because it’s Christmastime, and it’s Godzilla, and this patron has been a very loyal supporter and friend, I drew this bigger than normal and added a splash of color.
Done with (awful) markers and ink. For a reveal of how bad those markers are… that yellowish green grey color? That’s the lighter blue marker.

It’s Christmas and I like to do a little extra for my Patrons. This particular patron has been a supporter for over 5 years. When he asked for David Bowie – any era (another likeness, ugh), I knew it had to have color and I knew it had to be Ziggy Stardust. I’ve done a quickie doodle of Alien Bowie from Man Who Fell to Earth years ago, and a caricature of suit-wearing New Wave Bowie, but I hadn’t done Glam Bowie.
