Breaking Bad is ending this Sunday. I would talk about it, but I’m pretty sure I’ve got nothing new to say about it that you don’t already know. I love the show, I will miss it, but I’m glad it’s ending. Go out on top.

I drew this as a celebration of the show, and also because I was inspired by my pal Jason Young. He drew a series of 12 trading card sized portraits of the major players from the show.

Micro Heroes

Years ago, I got into making Micro Heroes. It sort of became a massive time-suck. It also helped that I was mostly unemployed at the time. Anyway, I made a ton of these things. And now I’ve finally put them all in a place for people to look at.

Shonborn’s Micro Heroes is now open for bidness.

Check it out, say hi. It’s unlikely I’ll ever make new ones, but if I do, they’ll be there. Who knows what kind of bug will fly up my ass in the future?

231. Grumpy Cat’hulu

So when we left yesterday, I told a story about a couple of cute cats, and followed that up with a story about a zombified drawing of an adorable cat named Li’l Bub. The girl who bought that drawing from me returned to my table shortly afterward.

She decided that she wanted to get a companion piece, and wanted a Grumpy Cat sketch as some sort of monster, my choice. So I went Lovecraftian elder god. She also seemed to enjoy it.

Repeat business!

Last night, I watched a bizarre little movie called Somebody Up There Likes Me starring Nick Offerman. It was weird. It’s kinda funny. But mostly weird.
